Most people have their own technique for what works best for them when applying surf wax, but the quick video above should get you the best results.
Use a Surf Wax Remover solution to get your surfboard nice and smooth so that the new coats go on. Some people add a basecoat of wax first but you can just as easily apply a coat of the wax you will use all over. Rub if over the areas you wish to cover, quickly applying a rough surface. Once this is on, we find rubbing in large circled areas will get your surfboard humping up sweetly, so they provide little traction groves helping you stay on.
